Economists associated with the Department of Economics number 40,
of whom two are Emeritus,
twenty-eight participate primarily in the
Department's instructional program, five
primarily in the Sanford Institute of Public Policy,
two in the Nicholas School of the
Environment, and three in the Fuqua
School of Business. One professor
affiliated with the Department holds his primary appointment at
another university. In addition, the Department has four Visiting and/or Part-time faculty who offer courses and
participate in the Department's research program. The linkages
to other Departments or Schools broaden and strengthen the
scholarly interaction amongst economists at Duke and, because of
this, are noted below to facilitate fuller information about
Duke's programs. Those faculty participating primarily in other
departments and schools are noted by links to the home pages of
those departments/schools. This represents a convenient method
to obtain access to a broader base of information on related
instructional and research programs at Duke.
Each faculty name is linked to a faculty profile designed to
provide a concise overview of the faculty member and his/her
interests. The publications noted are representative of portions
of a longer-term research program; working paper titles are
indicative of the current research agenda. More complete
information is available through the links offered on the faculty
profile.
