|
The Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland in College Park will be hosting the 25th Annual National Association of Women MBAs Conference and Career Fair on November 2-3, 2007. This year’s conference is designed to encourage women to "Take the Lead" through globalization, entrepreneurship and technology. The conference will provide attendees the opportunity to connect with top companies, learn from successful women professionals and network with both fellow women MBAs and professionals. Louise Francesconi and Irene Chang Britt are keynote speakers. Louise Francesconi is the president of Missile Systems at Raytheon, where she has held the position since September 2002. Francesconi has been with Raytheon since 1996 and has a 31-year history in the defense industry. She started her career at Hughes Aircraft Company where she rose to chief financial officer of Hughes Missile Systems Company in 1993. She was later named chief operating officer and later company president. Irene Chang Britt is the vice president and general manager of Campbell Soup Company’s Sauces and Beverages Division. Prior to joining Campbell’s in 2005, Britt was senior vice president and general manager of the Salted Snacks Division at Kraft Foods Inc. For the first time the conference will feature a case competition sponsored by Hilti, a world leader in developing, manufacturing and marketing top-quality products for professionals in the construction industry and in building maintenance. The finals for the competition will be held at the conference. We are pleased to be partnering with the Thunderbird School of Global Management to make this inaugural competition a success. |
