Awards of $10,000 a year ($40,000 during your four years!) are available for up to 90 students who are admitted to the Dean's Scholars Program each year. These merit scholarships go to top students who excel academically and also demonstrate leadership skills. In addition to the financial award, Dean's Scholars also participate in special trips and educational opportunities.

In the business college, the associate dean advises the freshman scholars themselves, getting to know the scholars individually. In addition, as Dean's Scholars students received special invitations to talks by such campus visitors as Lee Iacocca and Gen. Colin Powell, former chairman of the joint Chiefs of Staff.
