Setting the standards: Accounting students hear from industry insider

As an international policy maker, Robert H. Herz, former chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), is attuned to the issues surrounding the globalization of financial reporting.

Mr. Herz presented, "Challenges and Opportunities Facing Financial Reporting in the United States and Globally" to Lehigh business students and faculty.  The experiences and insights garnered from his eight year tenure at the board provided a real-world perspective on the importance of developing one set of international financial reporting standards.
