You hear much these days about reshoring - the return of U.S. manufacturing jobs from overseas.
And while the resurgence of manufacturing in the U.S. is cause for celebration, nobody seems to be asking whether at least some of the turmoil caused by the decision to move jobs overseas in the first place could have been avoided if manufacturers had relied on sound business principles.
