The Philip Rauch Center for Business Communications, an academic center of Lehigh University, aims to provide curricular support to the Undergraduate Programs and MBA and Graduate Programs of the College of Business and Economics. The Center focuses on the traditional modes of business communication such as writing technique, rhetoric, and oral presentation. It also is active in developing training and support in the emerging field of Global Business Communications. The late Philip Rauch, a prominent member of Lehigh University's class of '33, established the Center in 1981 through a generous contribution.
The role of the Center is:
- To recognize and communicate to students the skills needed to function in business today;
- To support and develop curricular initiatives for the academic programs of the CBE;
- To leverage technology, where appropriate, to advance the goals of the CBE.
The Rauch Center for Business Communication is dedicated to providing students and faculty with an accessible, diversified, and up-to-date range of services, designed to most effectively meet current, and anticipate future business communication needs.
The Center also administers the Excel Competency Program.
