RUSH BETA 2007-2008

Going Greek at Lehigh

Beta Theta Pi is one of the largest and oldest fraternal organizations in North America. The Beta Chi chapter was colonized at Lehigh University in 1891. For more than a century, select Lehigh students have gotten to know the Beta spirit. As Betas we pride ourselves with a strong commitment to excelling academically as well as being the leaders both on campus and in intramural sports. We truly enjoy the Lehigh 'work hard, play hard' way of life. While we can brag about the house's amenities like our library, the computer room, the HDTV in the chapter room, or the great meals our house chef prepares day-to-day, in reality all those things have almost nothing to do with going Greek. Being a Beta is about brotherhood; the realization that throughout the short time at Lehigh, there is a house full of men who are all ready to stand by you. As a Beta for life, the fraternal bond last much longer that the time at Lehigh. Whether as a young alumni at a Lehigh/Laf game or coming back for Fraternal Fifties, a Beta knows he is amongst brothers.

Although every Greek house on the hill can offer a Lehigh student a bed to sleep in and events to attend, not all Fraternities are the same. Being a Beta is a truly unique experience that makes the years at Lehigh more lasting, memorable, and meaningful. It is impossible to just read a few paragraphs and understand the great benefits of Lehigh's Greek life, let alone the experience of belonging to a certain Greek house. That is why we encourage the Lehigh students to stop by the Beta Theta Pi house for one of our many social, philanthropy, or rush events taking place each week and ask any brother what being a Beta means to him.

Meet the Rush Chairmen

Ones of the best ways for a freshman to express interest is to talk to a rush chairman about rushing Beta Theta Pi.
