Berger Lab @ Lehigh
Berger Lab @ Lehigh
We are an interdisciplinary research group in the Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering departments at Lehigh University. Our research is focused on problems at the interface of biophysics and engineering, with applications in diverse areas such as receptor signal transduction, biosurfactants, cardiovascular development and multi-drug resistant bacterial infection. A common theme in our work is understanding the interrelationship between protein structure, molecular recognition and biological function. Our work is highly collaborative, and we work extensively with clinicians and biomedical scientists at Lehigh Valley Hospital, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, The Wistar Institute and Mayo Clinic as well as local industrial research groups.
We also organize the Lehigh Biophysics Club, a interdisciplinary group across campus that meets monthly to learn more about biophysics research going on at Lehigh.
There are occasionally openings for undergraduate students. Please e-mail for more information about availability and specific research projects.
