Although competition for funding is keen, a variety of support packages are available for graduate studies in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences. These funding options include University and Departmental fellowships as well as teaching assistantships, research assistantships, and scholarships. Support packages generally include a 9 month stipend and graduate tuition. A number of options also exist to provide an additional 3 months of summer stipend. Students making adequate progress toward their degree are usually funded continuously during their graduate career.
