LEHIGH UNIVERSITY EQUIPMENT AND LAUNDRY OPERATIONS


Wrestling Operational Guidelines and Procedures

The Wrestling locker room is located at Taylor Gym. The locker room is used for daily practice. Each locker is identified with the player's name and an identification number (i.e. W-1, W-2...). The identification number is used for the locker, laundry bag and travel bag. Match/Meets will occur at Grace Hall and Stabler Arena.

LAUNDRY BAGS

-Two (2) laundry bags will be issued at the beginning of the season. Each bag will following articles: 1 towel, 1 pair athletic socks, 1 grey T-shirt, 1 grey short and 1 athletic supporter.
-DO NOT put any personal items in the laundry bag. Make sure that the laundry bag is closed properly before dropping it in the drop closet.
-The laundry bags will be picked-up to be washed as scheduled. They will be placed in the locker room by the next day.
-At the end of the season, ALL items issued must be turned in within five working (5) days. If not, a bill will be submitted to the Bursar's Office. ANY OF THE ITEMS THAT ARE LOST, STOLEN OR FORGOTTEN WILL BE REPLACED AT A CHARGE.

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT

-The following articles will be issued at the beginning of each athlete’s career: 1 brown sweat shirt, 1 brown sweat pant and travel suit. These items are issued to you for your career. These are yours to keep following your senior year of competition. If you leave the team for any reason prior to this, it is your responsibility to return those items. If not, a bill will be submitted to the Bursar’s Office.
-Replacement of items will be made when old items become worn out. A one for one exchange will occur when for example: socks are worn out or a t-shirt becomes torn. ANY OF THE ITEMS THAT ARE LOST, STOLEN OR FORGOTTEN WILL BE REPLACED AT A CHARGE. A bill will be forwarded to the Bursar’s Office at the end of the season.
-The following articles will be issued as needed: head gear, neoprene knee pad(s).

HOME CONTESTS

-On the day of a home contest, those players participating in that day's event will find their travel bag packed with the following items: a singlet, meet warm up top and meet warm up pants.
-After the meet, IMMEDIATELY place ALL of the above articles back into the travel bag and place it in the drop closet. The travel bags will be picked up, inventoried and washed. If an issued item is not returned, the head coach will be notified immediately. If these items are not returned by the end of the season, a bill will be sent to the Bursar’s Office.

-Those wrestlers in unattached, exhibition matches will be issued a singlet by their coach. After the match, IMMEDIATELY give your singlet to the coach. Exhibitions at Stabler will be handled per meet.

AWAY CONTESTS

-The day before departure for an away contest, a travel bag will be placed in the locker of those players participating in that contest. The following articles will be packed: singlet, 1 towel, 1 pair athletic socks, 1 grey T-shirt, 1 brown shorts, 1 supporter, meet warm up top and a meet warm up pants. Certain away contests will require the need for additional practice/game gear to be packed. Please check the e-mail message provided to obtain a list of all gear issued per meet. The player should check to make sure that all of the above items have been packed. The player should pack any personal items needed.
-Upon immediate return to Taylor Gym, only personal items should be taken out of the travel bag. The travel bag should then be zipped shut and IMMEDIATELY placed in the drop-off spot. The travel bags will be picked up, inventoried and washed. If an issued item is not returned, the head coach will be notified immediately. If these items are not returned by the end of the season, a bill will be sent to the Bursar’s Office.

NOTES

-All items issued to you for practice or game are the property of Lehigh University. Failure to turn these items in after a game or at the end of the season will result in a letter, to you, explaining what is missing. The items or a check made out to "Lehigh University" in the amount that is due must be made within five working (5) days. If not, a detailed bill will be submitted to the Bursar's Office.
-Please keep up your locker and the area around your locker. No food or drinks should be left in your locker.
-If you have any problems with equipment, don't wait 5 minutes before a practice or game. Give yourself and the equipment manager ample time to fix or exchange your equipment.
-Varsity House parking-All athletes should park in the parking lot located north of the Varsity House. Parking is NOT allowed on the south side of the Varsity House.
