The Accounting Department will host the second annual “Careers in Accounting” event.

This event is for students who want to know about the many different opportunities      

available for accounting majors.


All sophomores and freshmen in the College of Business and Economics and the other


Colleges, who are considering accounting as a major, will want to attend.


The event will include
(1) an overall description of the process to be followed in seeking


 employment, (2) three breakout sessions that focus on various opportunities available to


  an accounting major and strategies to earn such an opportunity, (3) a message from       


  a successful alumna (Brodi Jackson, Managing Director, Caerus Ventures),                     


and (4) a networking lunch.

Registration is required and space is limited, so hurry and register!

This event has a $50 “
no show” cancellation fee.

 Attendees will be assigned to one of three breakout rooms. Moderators and panelists     rotate to visit each room.


Breakout session topics include:

(1)  Public Accounting Opportunities in Auditing, Tax, and Advisory Services

(2)  Non-public Accounting Opportunities (e.g., Corporations, Financial Services Firms)

(3)  Young Alumni Perspective: Strategies to Obtain an Internship and Job
