By definition, charettes are creative brainstorming sessions used by professionals to solve a design problem within a limited timeframe. These charettes will challenge participants to design the 21st century incarnation of the original Fritz Engineering Laboratory.
Hearkening back to their student days, charette participants will spend Friday evening rolling up their sleeves, breaking into small groups facilitated by design professionals, and collaborating with their fellow alumni to redefine John Fritz’s vision of a state-of-the-art academic and research facility. The fruits of that labor will become a poster display that will be available for viewing during Saturday evening’s cocktail hour.
