2005, Second Place Winner of the IE Division Best Paper Award for "Introducing Freshmen to the Field of Industrial Engineering Through the Use of Collaborative Project Experiences," presented at the 2003 ASEE Annual Conference. Award Letter received June 2, 2005. Co-Authors included Gregory L. Tonkay and Edmund O. Goll.

2005, Inducted into the Abington High School Hall of Fame in Science category. (Historical Note: Past honorees included Dr. Amar Bose, for the development of electronic and stereophonic technology.)
