Subject: for the list Date: Wed, 8 Jan 2003 12:28:02 -0500 (EST) From: "W. Stephen Wilson" We (Gerd Laures, Nitu Kitchloo and myself) have a question. We know how to prove this so we don't need more proofs. We are curious if there is an explicit reference in the literature for the result. Say you have the category of connected graded bicommutative biassociative Hopf algebras over Z/p. (an abelian category). If you had a short exact sequence: A -> B -> C with A cofree as a coalgebra and C poly (i.e. free as an algebra) we can show that the extension is trivial in the category of Hopf alebras, i.e. B is just the tensor product of A and B as Hopf alebras. Any explicit references? Thanks. Steve W.
