Lehigh University Geometry/Topology Conference Housing

Housing Information

Off-campus housing will be available at the Comfort Suites Hotel, located 4 blocks from campus. Contact the hotel directly by calling (610) 882-9700. You must make reservations by September 7, 2007, in order to get the group rate (which will be partially reimbursed). Be sure to mention that you are with the "LU Geometry/Topology" conference group.

As of today (Sept. 7), there are apparently no more rooms available at the Comfort Suites for Saturday evening. Call there first, to check, but we have another block of rooms reserved at the Hilton Garden Inn near the airport (ABE), (610) 443-1400, 1-877-stayHGI, or http://www.allentownairport.stayHGI.com . Those rooms should be available until Sept. 21, although it may not be possible to make the reservations until Tuesday, September 11. Again, the conference will subsidize the rooms based on double occupancy (so a shared double will be free, or a single room would be cost you half the group rate of $89). Fill out the housing request form to be connected with a roommate.

The conference will subsidize the cost of housing on Saturday and Sunday nights, based on double occupancy. This gives you three options:

  • You can arrange with another participant to share your room, and make arrangements with the hotel directly. We will then cover the tab for those two nights (except for what you get from the mini-bar).
  • You can choose to not share the room (this would also apply if you are accompanied by someone not participating in the conference). In this case you would have to cover half of the cost of the room (the total cost is $89 per night plus taxes, so this would be $44.50 plus tax per night).
  • You can ask us to arrange a roommate for you. In this case, please fill out the form below. You still must contact the hotel to reserve a half-room for yourself. Each room will have two beds, although some may be convertable sofas.

Please submit this form by September 7 if you wish to be assigned a roommate.

If you wish to request travel support, you should also fill out the travel support form. All attendees are eligible for the housing subsidy, but we ask those meeting the criteria for travel support (current students, those with PhD's earned in the last 6 years, and members of underrepresented groups) to complete the travel support form here, and the more detailed form we will have for you once you arrive.

You may want to check with the following people, who have already registered for the conference, to see whether you could share a room. List of Registered Participants
