- Congratulations to our new Ph.D.'s!!!
- Lynal Albert defended her Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering in August 2015. Her dissertation is titled "Effects of Surface
Properties on the Charge-Regulated Bioenergetic Response of Attached Bacteria: Exploration within the Framework of the Chemiosmotic
Theory." Lynal is now an Assistant Professor of Environmental Engineering at Tarleton State University, TX (part of the
Texas A&M System) .
Hankai Zhu defended her Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering in December 2015. Her dissertation is titled
"Impact of the Charge-Regulation Effect on Bacterial Growth and Bioavailability of Sorbed Growth Substrates."
Hai Lin defended his
Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering in December 2015. His dissertation is titled "Microbial Modification of Soil for Ground Improvement."
(Co-Dissertation Supervisor with Muhannad Suleiman).
- Dr. Brown has been appointed to the EPA Science Advisory Board, Environmental Engineering Committee.
