  • The first homework assignment is posted below, due 9-9.
 

Homework


Homework questions will be posted in this file: gtex.pdf. Many of the questions come from the West book while others are from old qualifying exams or just interesting questions. You are encouraged to work together on ideas for homework assignments but the final product should be your own. Your homework solutions should be original, well thought-out and written neatly or typed. I recommend that the graduate students type homework since you should be learning LaTeX anyway.
  • For 9-9, Chapter 1: 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 13, 16. (Recall that homework questions come from gtex.pdf.)
  • For 9-23, Chapter 2: 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, 15.
  • For 9-30, Chapter 3: 1-4, 7, 10, 15.
  • For 10-14 (first part), Midterm Exam
  • For 10-21, Chapter 4: 1-6, 8.
  • For 10-28, Chapter 5: 1-6.
  • For 11-11, Chapter 6: 1-5.
  • For 11-18, Midterm project.
  • For 12-2, (Last homework) Chapter 7 (all) and Chapter 8 (all).
 
The class will roughly follow this schedule. Note: This page will be updated frequently as the semester progresses.
