For those on the "Fun Bus" who contributed to my collection of signs of prohibition, here is a sample from our recent China trip.

 

This photo, taken on the Star Ferry between Tsim Sha Shui and Hong Kong in 2000, was the beginning of my fascinaton with what kinds of things Asian authorities feel the need to prohibit and how they choose to express it.
 

Fair enough, but where's the Spitting Section?

 

 

No burning what? Bridges? Peasants? The Summer Palace? Obviously this sign wasn't up when the British arrived in 1860.
