Wireless Setup Instructions
PocketPC
These instructions will guide you through configuring a Handheld
device (PDA) to access Lehigh's secure wireless network.
Hardware: PDA (Handheld device) equipped with either 802.11b or 802.11g
compatible wireless card
Operating System: PocketPC 2002 or 2003
Note: PDAs running Palm OS will not be able to connect to Lehigh's secure
wireless network.
| 1) | Download the wireless server certificate to your computer. www.lehigh.edu/wireless/pocketpc/verisign4.cer | |
| 2) | Copy the downloaded file to your Pocket PC. Once the file is copied over tap on it once to import it. You will receive the following message: | |

| Click on "Yes" to import the file. | ||
| 3) | Note: The screen shots in the following steps may vary slightly depending on which model PDA you have. | |
| Turn on your PDA in an area on campus that has wireless access. Open up your wireless connection utility. | ||

| 4) | The Lehigh "lu" wireless network should be detected. Click on "lu" to configure it. | |

| 5) | You will need to configure the "lu" network with the following settings: | |
| Authentication: Open Data Encryption: WEP The Key is provided for me automatically: Yes Use IEEE 802.1x network access control: Yes EAP Type: PEAP |

Once you have configured secure wireless access
you will be prompted to login. Enter your Lehigh username (one used for e-mail) and password. Leave the domain field blank. |
