Installation

  1. Depending on your system and browser settings, the installation of the Lehigh Mac Suite may be more or less automatic. When you first click the link, a disk image file (.dmg) will be downloaded, with an icon like Figure 1.
  2. If the disk image doesn't open automatically, double-click on it's icon (usually right on the desktop). Opening the disk image file will mount a disk image volume, with an icon like Figure 2.
  3. If that doesn't open automatically, double-click it to open it. Opening the disk image volume should show a window like Figure 3.
  4. If the installer package doesn't run automatically, double click the indicated icon to run it, which will bring up a window like Figure 4.
  5. Click "Continue" when the installer asks to run a program that checks to see if the software can be installed. Click "Continue" again at the "Welcome to the Installer" screen. Click "Agree" to accept the license agrement. Select your hard disk as the destination onto which to install the software.
  6. Click Continue again to begin copying files onto your system.
  7. After this is all finished, a "Lehigh" folder is created inside your "Applications" directory, which contains each of the progams listed below. Each one has a single fairly self-explanatory window.

    • Lehigh Configuration
Stores your Lehigh username for use with the other programs.
    • Lehigh H Drive
Connects your Lehigh H drive, and puts an icon for it into the Dock.
    • Lehigh Mail Setup
Configures Apple's Mail application to access your Lehigh email account.
    • Lehigh Printer Setup
Accepts inputs about the building you're in and printer you'd like to connect, and installs and configures the printer driver.
    • Lehigh VPN Setup
Configures a connection to Lehigh's VPN using Internet Connect.
    • Lehigh Wireless Setup
Configures a connection to Lehigh's secure Wi-Fi Network using Internet Connect.

It's worth noting that this whole package was developed by a Lehigh student -- Thank you, Matt Kupferman!
