The Lehigh MacConnector
The Lehigh MacConnector is an application that works under Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.4 (Tiger) to connect your Lehigh LAN storage spaces (Your H-Drive, and for staff, their I-drive) to your Mac.
Here's how it works:
- Click on this download link to recieve a .zip file containing the application.
- Depending on your settings, the .zip file may be saved to your Desktop or Downloads folder, and may or may not be opened automatically to show the application. If it's not, follow on-screen instructions to open it, or double-click the MacConnector.zip file to extract the MacConnector application.
- Next, drag the MacConnector icon into the Applications folder on your hard disk.
- Then, drag it from there onto the dock, so it's always handy.
- Now, whenever you want to access your H-drive (which is labelled with your username) and/or I-drive (also called "common"), just click on the MacConnector icon.
- When you run the program, it simply asks for your Lehigh username and password.
- Enter them, and hit return or click "Connect", and the program maps the drives, which are then displayed on your desktop, and opens a window to your home folder. In Tiger, the system maps the root of the shared volume, which is displayed as "A-H", "I-L", or "M-Z", according to the first letter of the username.

Note: If you are off-campus, you'll need to connect to the Lehigh network via the Internet first. Then you can connect to your LAN drives using the MacConnector. To do that, you'll need to set up and connect to the Lehigh VPN.
Also Note: Once connected, your H-drive can be tricky to find when saving files from within applications. Check out Saving to the H-Drive for help on saving right to it.
