The
purpose of this board is to support, promote and advise
the S.T.A.R. Academies.
Further objectives of this board are to:
• Set policy
• Review student progress
• Advisory S.T.A.R. Academies
• Execute the purposes, obligations, and objectives of S.T.A.R. Academies
• Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate all curriculum
• Plan and evaluate all field trips and class sessions
• Raise money to help support S.T.A.R. Academies
• Train tutors
Membership:
Members are representative of all groups within the community.
The volunteers who make up the S.T.A.R. Academy Advisory Board are Lehigh
University faculty and students, middle and high school
students in Regular S.T.A.R. Academy, S.T.A.R. alumni,
parents of S.T.A.R. alumni, members of the business community, and
members of school districts.
In addition, a seat is held by the
director of the Regular S.T.A.R. Academy, the
director of the Junior S.T.A.R. Academy, the director of the
Summer Math, Science, & Technology Camp, and the Administrative
Assistant to the director serving as the Recording Secretary.
