SEE's first graduating class |
The Summer Eighth Grade Experience (SEE) was first introduced in July
2005.
The program occurs annually during the first week of July. ONLY S.T.A.R. Academy students are accepted for the first two years, to
The objectives of the program are:
• Aid rising 9th graders in transitioning to high school
• Occur 4 days, during the first week of July
• Consist ONLY of S.T.A.R. Academy students, during the first
two years of the programs
• Include sessions such as: "Express Yourself", Careers, Writing,
Leadership, Time Management/Study Skills, and College Information
• A school district representative conduct an evening session
for parents and an afternoon session for students
• A former S.T.A.R. Academy student to facilitate a “What
I Would Have Done Differently” session for the students
Tentatively, the camp is scheduled for July 7-10, 2008.
