DANIEL P. BURKHOLDER, M.Ed., is the Director of Special Education at Lower Moreland Township School District. Previously he was a special education superpervisor for North Penn School District in Montgomery County Pennsylvania. He has also been a supervisor in Northampton County at Saucon Valley School District. Before becoming a supervisor of special education, he was a teacher of students with autism, multiple disabilities, specific learning disabilities, and emotionally disabilities. He has teaching experience in elementary, middle and high school levels in both Pennsylvania and Hawaii. He was the 2001 Leeward District New Teacher of the Year recipient for his role in developing and implementing a Life-skills/ Vocational Program for students at Kapolei High School in Hawaii.
