DR. GINA R. SCALA is chair of the Special Education/Rehabilitation Department at East Stroudsburg University. In addition to teaching at the undergraduate/graduate level, she is a student teacher coordinator and works within the Partnership of Professional Development Schools. She has recently been appointed to the Special Education Advisory Panel by the Governor. She has just begun a professional commitment with Sopris West Publishers, as well as writing a textbook on Specail Education Supervison with colleagues for Allyn and Bacon. She continues to consult with many districts, provide in-service training, present at many local, state, and national conferences, and maintains membership in many state and national organizations. Previously, she held a variety of positions at Centennial School/Lehigh University. She is a wife and is the mother of two daughters.
