NetBus and Back Orifice Trojans

   There has been a recent outbreak of the trojan programs NetBus and Back Orifice on student PCs. The way most students are contracting these programs are by downloading them from scratch files and running them. Once run these programs turn the users computer into a server, making them susceptable to outside attack by others.

Common Symptoms Include:
• CD-Rom opening and closing by itself
• Mouse moving by itself
• Keyboard re-mapping, or not working
• Random characters being typed on screen
• Pictures popping up on screen
• Random sounds being played
