The Lehigh Valley "Steel" Battalion competes each year in the Ranger Challenge competition. Nineteen schools vie for the Commander's Trophy at Fort Indiantown Gap, PA each fall semester.  In the past 16 years Lehigh has placed 3rd or better. Every year the "Steel" Battalion has a Ranger Challenge team which practices to get ready for the competition. Before the actual competition the team competes against one another to see who will get the coveted slots on the team that goes to the actual competition. This preliminary competition is called the "Best Ranger" competition. The pictures below are from 2005.
