Profile

Professor Neti is chair of the thermal-fluids division in Lehigh's department of mechanical engineering and mechanics. He has also been the Director of the U.S. DOE sponsored Industrial Assessment Center at Lehigh, was a founding Co-chair of the Lehigh Environmental Advisory Group, and is Co-chair of the ASME Task Force on Energy Storage.

Neti is a recognized expert on thermal energy storage and solar heat transfer fluids, and has published widely in a broad range of journals and has nurtured numerous students through their masters and doctoral degrees. His expertise includes optical instrumentation; thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid flow in Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, bioengineering, polymer processing and solar energy. Research interests include laser diagnostic instrumentation for thermal fluids, computational and experimental methods for single and two-phase flow and heat transfer, transport processes in micro channels, non-Newtonian flow and biological systems, power plant performance analysis, concentrated solar power and high temperature heat transfer fluids and thermal energy storage technologies. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Society of Rheology, and of Phi Beta Delta and Sigma Chi.
