Cara Skola, 2005 (Spain trip) and Kyle Stawicki tied the knot November 22, 2008. Cara is working at Veritable, LP, an investment advisory firm in Newtown Square, PA as an assistant portfolio manager and has recently branched out into risk management. Cara is still rowing for Undine Barge Club in Philadelphia. Kyle is working as a Financial Advisor for SMF Financial Advisors, LLC in Clifton, NJ. (See picture below)

Anthony Kuster, 2008 (Benelux trip) is now working for Camp, Dresser & McKee (CDM) a full-service engineering firm. His official title is Environmental Engineer and he is working in the Environmental Remediation Division in their Wayne, PA office. Anthony says he will be working primarily with groundwater issues.
Ike Mihaly, 1991 (Washington, DC trip) who is working in Dubai for General Electric in Supply Chain Management for the next two years sent the pictures below. This is Ike's view from his apartment.



Monica Hamrick, 2005 (Spain trip) and Christopher Florio, Lehigh '04 have announced their engagement. Monica is an account executive/client services representative at Integram in Fairfax, VA and Chris is a member of the technical staff at The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA. Aneesh Varma, 2006 (Hungary trip) was recently nominated as UK's Young Interactive Entrepreneur 2009 by the British Council and Creative Economy for work in the Interactive & Digital Media sector. Congratulations, Aneesh!
Ashley Pritchard, 2009 (New Zealand trip) recently returned from her job-related trip for the UN to Mexico City. She had the opportunity to meet the Secretary-General (she taught him how to tweet) and helped host several events. She also met keynote speakers and Nobel Prize winners, mayors of Hiroshima and many fascinating people. She also had the opportunity to go to Guadalupe, which she reports was a very amazing experience. Look for Ashley's article in the upcoming issue of Perspectives this fall.

If you guessed Justin Frankel, 1996 (Germany I trip) you're correct! Justin's daughter, Ava is 2 years old and her big brother, Jackson, is 4 1/2 years old. Justin gives his wife Rachel the credit for these two good looking kids!
Eileen Mazzochette, 2009 (New Zealand trip) is participating in Bike and Build, a cross country cycling trip to raise funds and awareness for affordable housing projects. Go Eileen! Bike and Build
Sabrina Schneider Harris, 2007 (Panama trip) accepted a job offer with USAC, a nonprofit organization that provides study abroad programs for US students from across the country. Her new residence will be in Reno, NV. Her husband Greg, a chiropractor is also happy about the move. Our best wishes to Sabrina & Greg on their move.
Kristin Sargent Evans, 2002 (Hong Kong trip) will be starting her Masters in Public Administration at George Mason this fall. Her husband, Joe, left for Pakistan in early July where he is a student at the Pakistani War College for a year. Kristin will travel with him to Bangladesh, Nepal and India in October and in April to Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Casey Hanson, 2002 (Hong Kong trip) and Dejan Jojic are engaged to be married on September 25, 2010. Casey Has been working at Merrill Lynch/Bank of America since graduating from Lehigh doing Banking Strategy. Dejan will be starting at Merrill Lynch in August. He will be an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions group. Congratulations Casey & Dejan! (Picture below)

Aneesh Varma, 2006 (Hungary trip) writes from the UK to say his company, FabriQate, has just been selected into the HSBC Start-Up Stars 2009 as a semi-finalist. FabriQate is a Digital Media Software and Marketing company based in the UK with operations in China, India and the US. FabriQate specializes in Web 2.0 platforms, mobile phone applications and and online games as well. FabriQate has recently launched a new initiative called FabriQate Ventures, which acts as an incubator to digital media startups. He eventually hopes to tie this in with Lehigh as well and offer Lehigh-based startups with some seed capital or incubation. Congratulations and Best Wishes, Aneesh!
Nicole Radich Dobson, 1996 (Germany I trip) wrote to say she's in Afghanistan since May 18, stationed at Bagram Air Field. Nicole is a medical doctor of pediatrics. The hospital where she is working does a lot of humanitarian work, taking care of local Afghan children. In her spare time, Nicole is involved in a mentorship program for Afghan physicians to try to help improve their health care system. Everyone at The Martindale Center hopes Nicole's 6 month stint in Afghanistan over quickly so she can return home to her family.
Cameron Copeland, 2008 (Benelux trip) sent a postcard from Peru. He's visited Panama and Peru so far, and Chile is next. He writes that he's been hiking the Inca trail. Keep us posted on the next country on your list, Cameron!
Rachel Patterson-Fegley, 2001 (Ireland trip) writes to say she and Jeff Fegley (who owns the Brew Works) married on May 17, 2008. They are pleased to announce the birth of their first child, Porter David Fegley. Porter was born on April 10, 2009 weighing in at 7 lbs. 4oz. and 21 inches long. All are doing well. Rachel is about to finish her residency in Emergency Medicine in June and will start work at Crozer-Keystone Medical Center in their Emergency Department in July. (Picture below)

Amy Di Stasio Nehlsen & James Nehlsen, 2000 (Austria/Switzerland trip) are proud to announce the arrival of their first child, Alexander James Nehlsen. Alexander was born on April 22 at 9:42 PM, weighing in at 8 lbs. 5 oz and 20 inches long. Amy, James and Alexander are doing well. (picture below)

Stephanie Berger, 2008 (Benelux trip) will begin her job as Assistant Director of International Studies of the Law School at William & Mary University in Williamsburg, VA in May 2009. Good Luck, Steph!
Erin Munley Mierzwa, 2001 (Ireland trip) and husband, Aaron are pleased to announce the birth of their second child, Alex Joseph Mierzwa. Alex was born on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 weighing in at 7 lbs. 7 oz. and 21 inches long. Alex's big sister, Katie, is now 15 months old. Christopher Croteau, 1992 (Czechoslovakia trip) and his wife Lena are please to announce the birth of their first child, Mattias Jack. Mattias was born on January 25th weighing in at 6 lbs. 12 oz. and 19 inches long. Chris is a Senior Analyst High Yield at Hartford Investment Management. Congratulations Chris & Lena!

Jason Benkoski, 1998 (Germany II trip) and Christine Hall are getting married July 11, 2009. Jason works at The Johns Hopkins University in the Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, MD as a Materials Scientist. He is principal investigator on three projects, which include microrobotics, closed-loop biologically triggered drug delivery and self-healing paints. Christine is an administrative assistant with Stufel-Nicholas. Congratulation Jason & Christine!
Alix Echelmeyer, 2004 (Sweden trip) is engaged! The lucky man is Matt Eggerding. Matt is a patent attorney at Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell. Alix is currently an examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office in Washington, DC. The wedding is planned for October 3, 2009 in Media Park. Congratulations Alix and Matt! Connie DeMoyer, 1999 (Chile trip) is finally taking the plunge! Connie and Justin Svoboda will wed this August in the mountains of Colorado. Connie and Justin have recently bought an old Victorian home near downtown Denver. They spend their weekends skiing, biking, and just playing in the mountains. Connie works for the federal government as a hydraulic engineer and Justin works for an investment fund. Congratulations Connie & Justin! (See picture below)

Julie DeMoyer Hurd, 1997 (France trip) and her husband, Jamie (LU grad 1998) are pleased to announce the birth of their first child, Jackson Zachary Hurd on September 15, 2008 at 12:24 AM. Jackson weighed in at 8 lbs. 11 oz. and measuring 21 1/2 inches long. Julie, Jamie, and Jackson currently live in the Chicagoland area. (See picture below)

Steven Glassman, 2004 (Sweden trip) and his wife, Chrissy are pleased to announce the birth of their first child, Elizabeth Lucille. Elizabeth was born on Wednesday, December 10 weighing in at 6 lbs. 14 oz., 20 inches long. Steven and Chrissy are thrilled with the addition to their family. Congratulations!
Art Comstock, 1995 (Argentina trip) and his wife, Bonnie, are proud to announce the birth of their first child, Arthur Brady. Arthur was born Sunday, December 14 at 11:50 AM weighing in at 8 lbs. 10 oz. and measuring 21 inches long. Parents and baby are doing well. Congratulations! (See picture below)

Jon Van Order, 1994 (Canada trip) and his wife, Karine, are pleased to announce the arrival of their 2nd child (and 2nd daughter) Charlotte Marie. Charlotte was born on December 9 weighing in at 6 lbs. 4 oz. and 19 3/4 inches long. Charlotte's big sister, Sophie is so happy to play the "big sister" role. Our Congratulations to all. Christopher Jewell, 2003 (Italy trip) is now working as a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group in New York. He's involved in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology area. We're glad to have Chris living closer to Lehigh.
Monica Hamrick, 2005 (Spain trip) writes to say she is now an Account Executive with Integram, a printer/mail shop in northern Virginia. Integram specializes in fast turnarounds for mail pieces.
Justin Frankel, 1996 (Germany I trip) recently started an asset management firm/hedge fund with a colleague. Wavecrest Asset Management's main focus is on solutions using derivatives to dampen volatility and increase the probability for more consistent returns. They also provide consulting services and separately managed accounts.
Mereille Najm, 2000 (Austria/Switzerland trip) write to say she is now the Chief Operating Officer of Spectrum Business and Realty Group. The company provides services in various industries including real estate brokerage, business brokerage, equity raising, and arranging financing for investors. Their offices are in Philadelphia, PA. Mereille says she is very excited about her new position.
Bernadette Ryan-Leduc, 1995 (Argentina trip) and her husband, Sylvain, are pleased to announce the birth of their second child, daughter Chloe. Chloe was born on Tuesday, September 2nd. She weighed in at 8lbs 7oz. and 20.5 inches long. Chloe's big brother, Alexi, is a very proud big brother. (See picture below)
