What Every New Graduate Student Should Know

Library Guides

When you log into the campus portal, you will see a tab called "Library Guides". This is your personal, customizable gateway to library resources. Library Guides resources include the Libraries' electronic resources, including e-journals, research databases, historical newspapers, etc. and links to services.  Library Guides default views are based on your major.    While each discipline's resources are automatically associated with a discipline area, the subject librarians are responsible for what appears on the default view for that discipline. 

Library Guides encourages use of high quality sources and is an essential component in the University-wide information literacy intiative.  Because it is integrated with the Campus Portal, it is located on the digital university's "campus green," along with other important student services including Banner and Blackboard.
