Library terminology can be confusing. For instance, "ILL" means "interlibrary loan" not "sick." For definitions and a list of equivalent terms in several languages, please see the Multilingual Glossary.

Many library databases and services are used around the world and thus have interfaces in different languages. The default interface language is English but often the language option is on the opening screen and can easily be changed. The same services may also offer help guides in different languages.
