INTRODUCTION
Today's seminar will review new library services and resources. These have been added over the past couple of years to what the library offers campus-wide. We will cover the following items:

SFX
What is it? SFX provides a connection from citations/abstracts of journal articles and publications to available full text electronic or print resources provided by the Lehigh Libraries.

Examples:

Example of this is the following:
Wyer, Peter; Mason, Jane; Theodorakopoulos, Nick; “Small business development and ‘the learning organization'. ” International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research . Vol. 6(4):239-259. 2000.

PROXY
NO MORE SETTING UP PROXY. Faculty, staff and students can now access the Library services from off campus without setting up browser proxy. Simply go to the Library Services page and click on button. An ID/PW box appears. Type in your ID/PW and you are ready to search the selected database. NOTE:If you had set up a proxy for the browser (IE, Netscape, Mozillia), you will need to turn the proxy off.

MyLibrary
Just MyLibrary. That what it says
. No, you do not own the databases, journals etc. What you have is a resource that brings together a selected list of resources in your area of research and/or teaching. This resources were selected by the librarians from a "master resource list". This includes licensed databases, e.g., Factiva, subscribed to or open access journals, and reviewed web sites. The best part is that you can change the original list to include or exclude resources from the "master resource list". Login is through the Portal.

To log in:

1. Log into the Lehigh Portal using your Lehigh ID/PW.
2. Click on the "MyLibrary" tab at the top.
3. Login to MyLibrary at Lehigh University Box appears. Click on the Login.
4. The "Lehigh AFS Username and Password" box appears.
5. Type in your ID
/PW and hit "Submit" button
6. You are now in your MyLibrary.

The resource groups (channels) appear. Each channel has resources that you can use. Some resources, e.g., databases, are available to Lehigh's users through contracts and licenses. Other resources, e.g., Federal government sites, are free and have been selected by the librarians for inclusion in the MyLibrary resource list. To connect, simply click on the resouce's name. You may change the resource channels by clicking on the Edit button in each channel.

To edit a resource group: ( For today's example, we will use the Journals section)

1. Click on the "Edit" button
2. Select the portion to be edited and click on it.(Today we will use the Finance section)
3. Select the journals to add or subtract. Click on the "Submit" button
4. This takes you back to your list of selected journals. You can review it, make changes or reset it.
5. If the selections are okay, click on the "Return to MyLibrary" button.
6. When the screen appears, it shows the new additions (deletions) to your MyLibrary lists.

New Resources

The listed resources are on the Database Finder page. The other databases that are listed may assist with your research for a client.
