10 Things Every First Year Student Should Know
What if Lehigh doesn't have a resource you need?
Even though Lehigh has a very large library collection and a wide range of electronic resources, it is a small fraction of all the information that is available. You can use Lehigh's Interlibrary Loan systems to request materials.
If you have searched ASA, Lehigh's Library Catalog and your book was not available or not owned at Lehigh, you can use PALCI Search and Borrow to request it from another library. Your LIN (nine digit Lehigh Identification Number) is required to login to PALCI. You will receive an e-mail notice when your book(s) are available at the Fairchild-Martindale Library circulation desk. PALCI is an academic library consortium that allows you to request books online from other libraries and have those items delivered here to Lehigh.
If the item is not available through Lehigh or PALCI, you still may request that item through ILLiad, our enchanced interlibrary loan request system. This system requests items from libraries all over North America and the world. ILLiad also allows you to request journal articles not available through either Lehigh's print or electronic collection. Additionally, if Lehigh does own the print version, you can also request it through ILLiad to receive a digital copy of an article.
