When you're entering information in a Banner form, you can usually tab to get to the next field. Or you can click in each field and start typing. But there will be places where the tab key won't go any further, and where the next field won't let you type any data. This happens when you reach the end of a block.

Banner can only process input from one block at a time. When you reach the end of a block, you can go to the next block by selecting Next from the Block menu.

You'll also see the Previous command on the Block menu. It does just what you'd expect: take you back up to the previous block. If you want to retrace your steps all the way back to the key block, do a rollback (on the File menu).

If the next block is in a separate window, that window will suddenly appear on the screen, sometimes covering up the information you just entered. Don't panic! You're still in the same form, and you can always use the previous block command to get back to that other part of the form.
