A block is a way of visually displaying a group of related fields. In general, each block you see on a Banner form displays fields from a single table. If you’re moving between different blocks in Banner, you’re probably looking at data from different tables in your database.

The table that is displayed in a block is called the "base table" for that block. Not all fields from the base table appear in every block, and sometimes you’ll see fields from a table other than the base table for the block.

Oh no! Do you need to change something that you entered in a previous block? If the Previous Block function doesn’t work, try a Rollback function. That will usually clear all the data that you entered on the form so far, except for the value in the key block.

Yo! I got a chart for navigating those blocks of yours that’ll knock your socks off.
