An account number in FRS is referred to as a FOAPAL in Banner.FOAPAL is an acronym for the components of an account number in Banner: Fund, Orgn, Account, Program, Activity and Location codes.
For ease of transition from FRS to Banner, most current FRS account numbers have been set up as Account Indexes in Banner.Using an Account Index in Banner will be similar to using the current six digit account number in FRS and will provide a shortcut to trying to remember all the components of a Banner FOAPAL.
