The Friends of the Lehigh University Libraries are dedicated to the provision of high quality library services for the Lehigh community. Lehigh Friends' members appreciate and enjoy the cultural enrichment uniquely embodied in a comprehensive research library.
What are the benefits? Friends receive invitations to special events and exhibits. They get to know new people in the university and the community with an interest in libraries and learning. Through publications such as the Library and Technology Services newsletter and the LTS Connection, they stay abreast of new developments at the libraries. See the Joining the Friends section for more information on joining the Friends.
The Friends sponsor lectures, book reviews, workshops, receptions, and dinners. They have generated support for special acquisitions, furnishings and equipment. The current Friends’ organization began in the 1970s, read the History of the Friends for more details. Today, it is led by a Board that includes the community leaders, alumni, faculty and staff listed below.
