For the past 9 years in the graduate IPD course ME 401, the enrolled Lehigh students are required to work on a new product development project for an industrial client with a globally distributed development team with students from the Netherlands, Germany and Mexico. This work was nominated for an American Society of Mechanical Engineers curriculum innovation award. The details of the course and curriculum are described in the attached nomination document.
In Feb 2005 we received the PACE award from GM et al and with our new international PACE partners we plan to extend this to other PACE institutions.
Flexible Faculty
IPD has no faculty per se, we infect faculty from traditional departments with our philosophy of experiential, student led, interdisciplinary, entrepreneurial focused education.
