Volatile Organic Compounds Device
The goal of this project is to provide creative market and product analysis for new air pollution control equipment that specifically targets volatile organic compounds (VOCs), hazardous air pollutants (HAPS) and malodors. The technology is currently at the research phase, and utilizes compact, self-contained, low energy electron beam (EB) emitters that have not been commercially deployed for this application. As such, the project will include extensive research in the potential air pollution control market to see where the where the need for this product can be focused. Since the project sponsor plans to site a pilot-scale system at a manufacturing facility during the course of this project, the IPD team will also be involved in the design and deployment of an EB air treatment system at a beta-site.
