Child Resistant Closure
Although most products packaged for human consumption are generally regarded as safe, there are some products on the market today that can be dangerous or lethal if consumed, especially by children. This project focuses on the design of a “Child Resistant Closure.” A new design will be developed for a bottle/jar closure that defeats the abilities of a child but is operable by adults with compromised manual dexterity such as arthritis patients and the elderly . The scope of the project includes market research, product engineering and a plan for manufacturing.
