The Rights Portfolio was funded in 1996 as a learning tool that is available to all students, regardless of major, class, or college. The objective of the Rights Portfolio is to teach students the basic fundamentals of portfolio management. Most members of the portfolio are freshman and sophomores who are interested in understanding investment selection. Members are encouraged to pitch investment ideas at meetings and many active members matriculate through the other portfolios.
Students interested in becoming active members of the Investment Management Group should attend a Rights Portfolio meeting and ask to be added to the group's blackboard page. Once on blackboard, students will receive emails about meeting times and topics of discussion; related speakers and events; and opportunities to pitch investment ideas.
