CESAR offers undergraduate science majors at Lehigh University a unique opportunity to obtain firsthand research experience under the supervision of a retired industrial scientist.  Students learn valuable research techniques and approaches to solving research problems in a mentoring environment.  The program gives them a window on the industrial perspective and promotes their understanding of the research process.  It also encourages them to pursue industrial/pharmaceutical careers in Chemistry, Biochemistry and the Biological Sciences.

CESAR affords scientist/fellows the opportunity for research, teaching and interaction with Lehigh faculty and builds mutually beneficial bridges between Lehigh and area industrial/pharmaceutical corporations.
