Getting to Nanjing Hotel from Pudong International Airport
The Bund area is one of the most popular tourist areas in Shanghai and therefore recommending the Nanjing Hotel (nanjing fandian). It is very accessible from the Pudong International Airport by train (few dollars). There are a lot of interesting sites within walking distance of this hotel and it is only 200 meters from the train stop.
Take the Magnetic Train from Pudong station to the end of the line where it meets the Line 2 train. (There are no stops between the airport and the transfer to the Line 2 train.)
Follow the signs to the # 2 train and take it westward to the East NanJing Road station (line 2). From this station the hotel is around the corner at 200 Shanxi Nan Lu.

Our Chinese hosts will be organizing accommodation for all participants, which will be supported by IMI-NFG for the duration of the Symposium (January 4-15, 2010).
To encourage and enhance the International experience for both students from the US and China, the two groups of students selected will share rooms and live in the same facility together.
One student from the US will be paired with a student from China in a double occupancy room. The idea behind this is to maximise the integration and cultural learning experience of the students during their stay in China.
