Wellness Center
The Lehigh University Student Health and Wellness Center provides acute and on-going care to over 4,800 undergraduate and 2,000 graduate students. The newly remodeled Wellness Center consists of the Self Treatment Room, the Resource Room, and the Relaxation Room. Spend 5 minutes or 5 hours – The Wellness Center is just what the doctor ordered!
Resource Room
The newly renovated resource room has Wi-Fi and is packed with books and information as they relate to health and well-being. Whether you want to check your blood pressure with our automated machine, stop by and find out your current weight, sit down, relax or read, the Lehigh University Wellness Center is a great place to start your new "healthy" lifestyle.
Relaxation Room
Stressed out? Mentally spent? Just looking for a quiet place to
unwind for a few moments? The Lehigh University Wellness Center's
relaxation room might be exactly what you're looking for!!! Soothing
sounds, pleasant videos and relaxing massage chairs are available in
our relaxation room. Don't let stress get you down, come on over and
relax with us in the Wellness Center!
Self Treatment Room
The "self-treatment" room is intended for students who have minor illnesses. Don't be afraid to try the self-treatment room! FREE over the counter medicines and first aide supplies are there to help get you through your day. If needed, a member of our staff will be happy to assist you.
Self-treatment medications include:
- colds and flu
- gastroenteritis (diarrhea)
- menstrual cramps
- cuts and scrapes
- rashes
- headache
Dorm Room Rx
The Health Center stocks a number of prescription medications including antibiotics, pain medication, allergy medication and cough & cold remedies. A variety of over the counter medicines are also available in the "self treatment" area of the Wellness Center. It is also recommended that the student stock an "at home pharmacy" which can aid with self-care. Here are some suggestions of medications and supplies that each student should bring to Lehigh:
- Acetominopen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil)
- Thermometer
- Band-aids
- Antibiotic ointment
- Nasal decongestants
- Anti-diarrheal
- Antacids
- Hydrocortisone cream
- Sunscreen (SPF30 or above)
