11/4/2009 - We have arranged for H1N1 swine flu vaccination clinics to be held Tuesday and Wednesday, November 10 and 11, in Lamberton Hall’s Great Room, FOR STUDENTS ONLY.
The Health and Wellness Center staff will not routinely be administering novel H1N1 tests as of this time. The state is currently experiencing an overwhelming volume of tests, and has therefore prioritized hospitalized patients for testing.
Since June, we have had 659 students with ILI (Influenza Like Illness), with increasing numbers every week. Ninety-three (93) students have tested positive for H1N1 (swine) flu. We encourage students to continue to self-report. We are continuing to see influenza like illness, and do not believe we have seen a downward trend in the weekly number of cases yet. Essentially all cases of influenza nationwide are currently of the H1N1 (swine) flu type.
September 12: The Health Center verified our first case of Novel H1N1 (swine) flu in a student.
