Important Resources and Information on Swine Flu
The Acting Health and Human Services Secretary has declared a Public Health Emergency nationwide involving Swine Influenza A.

The number of cases in the U.S.continues to grow. Risks for this flu include travel within 7 days to a community either within the U.S. or internationally where there are one or more confirmed Swine Flu cases.

To learn more about swine flu and the CDC investigation, please visit the CDC Swine Flu website  www.cdc.gov/swineflu. Visit www.cdc.gov/swineflu/press to read recent postings of teleconference transcripts. The World Health Organization has also posted information on swine flu at www.who.int/csr/disease/swineflu/en/index.html.

To Prevent Swine Flu, the most important thing you can do is to wash your hands frequently.

The Lehigh University Health and Wellness Center will continue to monitor the situation and update the campus community as necessary.

To see a comparison between the flu and a cold, and how to prevent getting sick, please go to our Flu page.
