For 3 year-olds, there is a home-based program in which agency personnel go to the home to work with the mother, and the child goes to the agency for 4.5 hours in the classroom every other Friday.
For children who are 4 years-old (and five years-old in some cities), the child spends 4.5 hours a day, Monday -Thursday at a Head Start classroom closest to the family home. Eligibility depends on family size and income.
