Collision Warning for Cyclists
Department: Computer Science and Engineering
Advisor: Mooi Choo Chuah

Current safety measures for bicycles focus on mitigating injury but do not engage in accident prevention. We present our Bicycle Alert System by Stereoscopic Odometry and Object-recognition Network (BASSOON), a novel Computer Vision and Machine Learning application to warn cyclists of oncoming threats using only low-cost COTS hardware.
