Working with colleagues at universities in the United States and abroad expands a researcher’s pool of knowledge and opens up opportunities at different facilities. Just ask Stephen Pessiki.
Pessiki, a professor of structural engineering in the department of civil and environmental engineering, returned after eight weeks in China, where he visited four universities.
He was a visiting scholar at Tongji University in Shanghai, one of Lehigh’s partner schools; received three-year appointment as an honorary professor at the University of Jinan; and visited partner schools Southeast University in Nanjing and the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei to discuss a summer research program for Lehigh undergraduate students.
