When it comes to the subject of manufacturing, the Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC) has played a major role in assisting in the growth and expansion of thousands of companies in and around the Lehigh Valley. This year, the MRC celebrates it 25th anniversary of helping those companies streamline more efficient processes and develop sustainable solutions targeting small and mid-size manufacturers.
MRC currently works with 110 companies, and as they move into their 25th year, the center hopes to highlight manufacturing in the Valley is through the new Manufacturing Council. A spinoff of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, the council's main objective is to work with all types of manufacturing issues impacting the region.
Located in Lower Saucon Township, the MRC is rents its land Lehigh University, and as a wholly-owned subsidiary, the center always has at least two university personnel on its board of directors.
